Chinese-born pianist, Chuang Li performed numerous recitals in China, Russia, Denmark, and the United States. Recently, Chuang Li won the First Prize in the Young Artist Competition and performed the Piano Concerto No.1 by Sergei Prokofiev with the North State Symphony in Chico, California in February 2019. Chuang is a chamber musician as well. He is the pianist of Trio Internazionale. They performed a chamber recital at the Chicago Cultural Center for Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts. The concert was broadcasted by WFMT, FM 98.7 worldwide on April 7th, 2021.
Mr. Li’s talent and enthusiasm for music and piano were evident at five years old and soon gave his first solo recital at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, China. In 2013, Chuang Li won the First Prize at the Imola International Piano Competition and later he was selected to participate in the Tanglewood Music Festival. Chuang Li recently graduated from DePaul University with a Master’s degree in Music in Piano Performance. He studied with Boris Berman, Jeremy Denk, Vladimir Feltsman, Alexander Korsantia, Daniela Mineva, Ursula Oppens, Chi Wu, and George Vatchnadze.
