Ella Petersen has studied with Mrs. Gasse since she was 3 years old. She is a Forest Parker and now that she is 8, she attends Betsy Ross School and will start next academic year at Field Stevenson. Born in a bi-cultural and bi-racial family, (Indonesian and American parents) she is a perfect example of the melting pot that GSM is.
Ella just graduated Suzuki Book 3 at an Outreach activity at Argo Tea State St., 16 W Randolph Chicago IL, 60601 on Saturday, June 21st an experienced Chamber Musician. She started playing in Piano Trios with Ernesto Gasse (cello) and Alexander Moliner-Azabagic (piano) when she was 7, and together they have performed numerous recitals, community events, and conventions. Ella has also volunteered to play as a soloist at many GSM Outreach events, such as, the Holiday Walk in Forest Park and What’s Blooming on Harrison Street in Oak Park.
The focused, dedicated and regular practice, combined with the terrific support of her parents, makes her a successful student with a bright future in music. Regardless what she chooses, professional or amateur, she’ll always enjoy playing music.
