Quality Music Education

Teaching quality private and group lessons for Cello, Guitar, Piano, Viola and Violin in Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, Berwyn, Riverside and the west side of Chicago.

The Gasse School of Music offers individual and group lessons in violin, viola, cello, piano, and guitar. We are dedicated to a simple, two-point mission:

  1. To provide quality instrumental music instruction for children and adults
  2. To make playing a music instrument a fun and enjoyable part of everyday life

We use both the Suzuki and traditional teaching techniques, including sight reading, audition, and performance skills.

I have been studying with Sarah Gasse for just three years now, and even in that short time, I have seen what an empathetic, humorous, and inspiring teacher she is. She has sculpted her teacher style to fit my personality and needs, which has made my learning experience all the more rewarding. Its never too late ever too late to play. As a 52 year man I read a book, "For the Love of It". And was inspired so I looked for a great teacher. I found Daniel Gasse and he introduced me to the Suzuki method. I was humbled by its simplicity yet it was so challenging. Daniel supported me weekly with thoughtful guidance. I stuck with it determined to not give up. I didn't and I am now 67 years old and have been a devoted student of Dr Daniel Gasse since.I see the same inspired energy from all the students I pass every day I visit the school.It's never too late!
